SAVE SMALL
BUSINESS
A grant making initiative to help small employers who are struggling during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Save Small Business Fund was a way for larger businesses and philanthropies to help the small business community suffering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fund is closed and we are no longer accepting new applications. We wish we could help everyone in this challenging time. You can find more non-financial resources here.
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"It was just a huge emotional relief when I got the phone call saying that I've been approved for the grants. It's so nice because everything else up to that point had been really just kind of negative, negative, negative. And then suddenly it was positive."
-Jack Neal, Franny's Bistro, Camden, ME
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"As a small business, I felt like we were left in the dust especially at the beginning of this pandemic. Having this grant gave us that clarity to keep moving forward and bridged the gap in many ways for our business to stay afloat."
-David Costanzo, Appliance King of America, Boynton Beach, FL
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"This grant gave us a good catalyst to start back again. It helped us reopen safely. Right now, our biggest priority is keeping our staff, our doctors, and our patients safe. We're upgrading everything and increasing our PPE supply. It's because of the grant that we're able to provide all that and reopen."
-Quynh Tran, Quynh Tran Optometry, Chino, CA
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"We are a small town and we don't get a lot of grants. We're only fifteen hundred people in our town. So to get something like this is pretty phenomenal."
-Kerry Butler, Butler's Daylight Donuts, Gordon, NE
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"This grant allowed us to keep paying our employees and provide service to the essential workers that were still traveling to get supplies moved across the U.S."
-Pankaj Lad, The Best Western Plus, Duncanville, TX
HEAR FROM OUR GRANTEES
"There are a lot of people who don't know what the next step is in a lot of this. When funding like this becomes available, it gets you through another week and then another week of the situation."
-Jennifer Cristiano, Technology for Education and Communication Consulting, Williamstown, NJ
OUR IMPACT
The Save Small Business Fund distributed 1,246 grants to small business owners across the nation to help keep their doors open and their dreams alive. The $5,000 grants provided a lifeline for small businesses on the brink of financial catastrophe and were an important bridge to help bring back employees, pay another month or two of rent and insurance, or handle new costs for reopening safely. VITAL TO OUR ECONOMY
Small businesses are the foundation of our communities and our economy. Employing nearly half the American workforce, companies like yours keep our neighborhoods running and make them feel like home.
We know you're facing multiple challenges right now, and every dollar counts.
Funded by corporate and philanthropic partners, the Save Small Business Fund was a collective effort to provide $5,000 grants to as many small employers as we could.
